Santa's Toy Shop

Santa's Toy Shop paints a vivid picture of a very busy holiday scene as Santa's elves are hard at work making gifts to have ready for delivery. All the hustle and bustle you'd expect are vividly showcased by the percussion section. This fun adaption of "Jolly Old St. Nicholas" is given a special twist by using numerous sound effects (anvil, woodblock, duck call, vibra-slap, train whistle, triangle, ratchet, siren/whistle, and bells) to represent the assembling of toys in Santa's toy shop.

A really fun selection for that holiday concert, featuring the percussion section with a lot of different sounds from Santa's toys. Good performances demonstrate good dynamic contrasts.
